The 2024 Great American Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Fort Pierce. The City of Fort Pierce and Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful are hosting the event, which encourages residents, visitors, and businesses to participate in citywide beautification projects. The cleanup starts at 8:00 AM and ends at Noon, with volunteers meeting at the Manatee Center Parking lot.
Participants will have the chance to clean various areas, including the downtown area, Moore’s Creek Linear Park, and Causeway Park. Volunteers will receive breakfast, t-shirts, safety gear, and goody bags. Teams will be formed and supplies provided for the projects.
Supplies can also be collected in advance at the Public Works Compound at 52 Savannah Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. This option is available on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM, or Friday, March 8, 2023, from 8 AM to 3 PM.
The event also allows students to earn community service hours. It promotes group participation, making it suitable for families, businesses, and community groups.
