Stuart, FL/CBS12 News – A non-profit group in our area is stepping up to assist homeless people and get them off the street. Friday afternoon John Rourke, a Palm City resident, presented a $1000 check to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office which will be used to buy bus tickets home for homeless people who want to return to their families in other states or in other parts of Florida.
