VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) – A decomposing body was found near the train tracks in Vero Beach, prompting a death investigation on Wednesday by police. The Vero Beach Police Department (VBPD) said during the afternoon of September 11, investigators responded to a wooded area near 1300 Old Dixie Highway to reports of a dead person.
