I was born and raised in Jupiter snook and inshore fishing with my father since I was five. In high school, I became more interested in the offshore fishery and began venturing out in a 16-foot Key Largo. Once the big fish started coming in, I became hooked. I graduated from FSU and started working in a corporate field until, one day, I realized I could never get out fishing as much as I had wanted to. I felt myself succumbing to the weekend warrior status at best. I took a consulting role with the company so I could work on my own time, went to fire school, became a firefighter, and immediately opened up a charter fishing business as I now had the time and ability to pursue my passion. I also joined Tournament Yacht Sales as a yacht broker, and I started freelancing on various boats. To this day, I run 50% of my trips freelancing, butI focus many of my charters on a 263 Calcutta and a 34 Freeman. I became obsessed with swordfishing, as many people have throughout South Florida over the past decade. With our drop-off being overtaken by sharks in Jupiter, I kept learning more and more about deep dropping and swordfishing at first just to avoid the shark-infested areas.
