ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. – A man is behind bars after the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said he attempted to kidnap a teenager. Jerry Cherisme was arrested Monday and charged with kidnapping, lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim 12 to 16 years of age, battery and other charges.
