Kentucky Humane Society rescues 24 animals from Florida shelter impacted by Hurricane Milton

The Kentucky Humane Society is looking for homes for around 25 animals brought to the rescue from a Florida shelter impacted by Hurricane Milton.

Monday morning, 10 dogs and 14 cats from Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch, in Jupiter, Florida, were brought to the Kentucky rescue after “a tornado from Hurricane Milton left their shelter unsafe for living,” according to a Facebook post from the Kentucky Humane Society.

Staff members from the Florida shelter drove 14 hours to bring the animals to the commonwealth. The post stated that the dogs and cats are currently “resting at our (Kentucky Humane Society) J-Town Retreat, but soon they’ll be ready for their forever homes.”
