FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) – With another cold night ahead, St. Lucie County and the City of Fort Pierce have decided to extend the warming shelters to Thursday. According to the city, In the Image of Christ is operating the emergency cold weather shelter at the Percy Peek Gym, located at 2902 Ave. D. The shelter will open on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 9 starting at 5 p.m. and closing 8 a.m. daily.
