Thursday morning was the coldest day on the Treasure Coast so far this winter, with the lowest temperature across the three-county region dipping to 38 degrees in Fort Pierce.
That doesn’t come close to the coldest day in recorded history. On Jan. 22, 1985, it was:
- 19 degrees in St. Lucie County (same as Dec. 24, 1989)
- 21 degrees in Indian River County
- 23 degrees in Martin County
