ST. LUCIE COUNTY − A Tuesday fire at a business on South U.S. 1 south of West Midway Road created smoke visible for miles, but caused no injuries, a St. Lucie County Fire District official said.
Crews responded about 11:30 a.m. to the fire at Line-X, which is next to Sunrise Ford in the 5400 block of South U.S. 1, according to information from Battalion Chief Jimmy Meyer.
“They had a fire in the back of their workshop area. It spread to the garage area,” Meyer said, standing at the scene. “We contained it to that area. The building is going to be out of service until they get it cleared up and fixed.”…
