FORECAST: Strong storms possible overnight, fire weather concerns on Monday

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A cold front will continue to bring showers and storms overnight. Some of these storms could lean on the strong side with frequent lightning and heavy downpours. An isolated severe storm or brief spin-up can’t be ruled out. The last of the rain is expected to come to an end by sunrise with skies clearing behind the front.

Look for sunshine by the late morning and a strong northerly breeze. Due to the very dry ground, strong winds, and much lower humidity— a fire weather watch has been issued for portions of the area. This includes Okeechobee, Indian River, Saint Lucie, Martin, and inland Palm Beach Counties starting at noon on Monday.

It will be much cooler with highs in the middle and upper 70s on Monday…
