VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A convicted murderer violated his parole and wanted to turn himself in. Rather than go to his local police station, though, the man picked a more unusual choice: a nearby Walgreens.
That was the scene in Vero Beach late Saturday morning at the drug store on 20th Street when Sean Hicks walked in and told a clerk there was a warrant for his arrest in Arkansas.
Hicks, 52, explained he was on parole for the 2004 murder of Jerry Wayne Emory in Lake Hamilton, Arkansas. Following his conviction, Hicks was sentenced to 20 years in prison…
