VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman was sitting in a jail cell after she was accused of purposely hitting another woman with a car, punching her, and ripping out her hair extensions, causing her skin to rip.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) says the incident happened on Saturday at around 10:35 p.m. in the parking lot of the Big Shots Lounge, a sports club located on US Highway 1 in Vero Beach. The victim said she was at a co-worker’s party with some friends when she began walking to her car.
That’s when the victim was suddenly hit by a Buick, driven by Gimica Knowles, an arrest affidavit says. The victim said she fell to the ground and as she was getting up, Knowles got out of her car, walked up to her, punched her in the face and ripped her hair extensions out of her head.
