Fort Pierce police nab 19-year-old after high-speed chase ends in driveway

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 19-year-old who tried to flee officers in Port St. Lucie was sorely mistaken when Fort Pierce police were waiting in his driveway.

Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said their officers pulled over Omar Munoz in his Chevrolet Corvette after driving recklessly on Port St. Lucie Blvd. — the same street where the Police Department is located.

Instead of pulling over, he continued to drive on Crosstown Pkwy fleeing at high speeds. Police say Munoz was attempting to make it out of Port St. Lucie and into Fort Pierce…
