Border Patrol chief warns drug traffickers as convicted felon faces deportation

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — An undocumented migrant with a previous history of trafficking illegal narcotics was arrested along the Treasure Coast over the weekend.

U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents, in collaboration with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, arrested the Cuban national in Vero Beach. The man has a series of felony convictions for trafficking heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, according to the post from USBP.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) said 54-year-old Luis Nunez was arrested in Vero Beach after a traffic stop along 20th Avenue SW. IRCSO deputies were advised that Nunez did not have a valid Florida driver’s license…
