Windsor Grows Annual Design Event with Gallery Tour, Trunk Shows, and More

With its oceanfront setting, picture-perfect houses, emerald green polo field, and manicured 18-hole golf course, Windsor is about an Edenic setting as one can imagine. The planned neighborhood near Vero Beach, Florida—the vision of W. Galen and Hilary M. Weston—celebrates art and architecture at every turn with an eye towards sustainability, privacy, and community.

Here, Anglo-Caribbean style homes stand in perfect alignment along tree-lined streets, where residents traveling by bicycle or golf cart wave hello en route to the Yabu Pushelberg-designed Clubhouse, visit friends in the Alessandra Branca-conceived guest suites or Beach Club, or enjoy programming in the picturesque Town Hall.

While cultural events for residents happen all year round, the annual three-day Windsor Style design celebration, held this year April 10 to 12, opens the doors to a multitude of spaces on the stunning campus to benefit the Windsor Charitable Foundation, a philanthropy that raises funds for local and national charities that support basic human needs such as food, shelter, health, children’s education, medical research, animal advocacy, and more. For this year’s gathering, Windsor members were treated to a panel discussion in the Town Hall, “Art, Design, and Landscape at Windsor: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.”

Moderated by Hadley Keller, director of editorial and community engagement at the Design Leadership Network and author of Beachside: Windsor Architecture and Design (Vendome), the conversation featured art adviser Aileen Agopian, landscape designer Renée Byers, and Galerie Executive Managing Editor Jill Sieracki, as well as interior designers Ellen Hamilton, Melissa Lindsay, and Jean Liu—many whose work can be seen within Windsor.

Following the conversation, guests enjoyed a selection of Dry Farm Wines in The Gallery at Windsor where they took in the exhibition “Left Hand, Right Hand” featuring the work of husband and wife artists Christopher Le Brun and Charlotte Verity…
