Lithium-ion battery blamed for fiery Fort Pierce shed blaze

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A late-night inferno engulfed a shed in Fort Pierce, prompting a response from firefighters who determined the blaze was sparked by a lithium-ion battery.

The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) said that on Wednesday night at 9:50 p.m., crews were sent to a structure fire in the 2900 block of Old Dixie Highway.
