Tesla driver breaks into closed Hobe Sound restaurant for quick charge

HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — A man desperate to find a charging station for his Tesla resorted to breaking into Harry and the Natives, a well-known restaurant in Hobe Sound.

It happened around 4 a.m. on Monday, a day when the restaurant is closed all day and it was caught on camera.

Outside the restaurant a blue tesla appears in the parking lot and starts backing into the outdoor dining area. The driver inside is clearly on a mission. Surveillance video captures the trespasser who can be seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts letting himself onto private property while holding what appears to be a black charging cord. He makes his way to the back of the patio area, unplugs the soda condenser and plugs in his tesla charger…
