VERO BEACH — Red, white and blue filled the streets of downtown Vero Beach on Friday, May 29, as the monthly Downtown Friday event, hosted by Main Street Vero Beach, brought out crowds for an evening of patriotic fun, music, food, and local vendors.
This month’s theme, the “Patriot Party,” encouraged attendees to don stars, stripes, and other patriotic attire in celebration of the country. The evening began with a presentation of the colors by the Indian River County Fire Rescue Honor Guard, followed by a stirring rendition of the national anthem by singer Nicole O’Neill. Her powerful vocals and impressive range earned cheers from the audience.
