FORT PIERCE – An estimated 2,000 Florida shelter dogs and cats could go home with new owners June 27-28, including from two sites in Fort Pierce.
The Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave., and Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center, 100 Savannah Rd., will have spayed/neutered and vaccinated dogs and cats available for free adoption as part of this year’s Petco Love Florida MEGA Pet Adoption Event. The two are among 50 organizations in 31 Florida counties that will participate “to address Florida’s urgent need for increased pet adoptions,” according to the City of Fort Pierce.
