Good Samaritans Assist in Rollover Crash on I-95 in St. Lucie County Before First Responders Arrive

On a stretch of I-95 in St. Lucie County, a rollover crash not only caused traffic disruptions but also a stirring display of selflessness as bystanders rushed to aid the individuals involved in the accident. According to CBS12, before St. Lucie County Fire Rescue (SLCFR) teams could arrive yesterday to the scene of the rollover on northbound I-95, several good Samaritans were already working together to try and roll the vehicle back onto its wheels.

The incident, as reported by WPBF, led to the temporary closure of two northbound lanes at Mile Marker 132, leading to significant traffic delays. As emergency crews worked diligently to extricate the two individuals trapped inside the vehicle, drivers were urged to exercise extreme caution and to move over to ensure the safety of first responders at the scene. The collaborative efforts significantly contributed to the stabilization of the situation before firefighters could take over.

The SLCFR, upon their arrival, stabilized the vehicle and promptly began treating the patient. They faced a complex extrication due to the vehicle’s position near a guardrail, a task that, per SLCFR, was completed in under 45 minutes.
