Palm City home erupts in flames after suspected lightning strike

PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — A blaze ignited by a suspected lightning strike ravaged a Palm City home Sunday evening, leaving firefighters battling relentless flames hidden within the insulation.

The Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) said that just after 5:30 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of smoke inside a home in the 4400 block of SW 96th Street.
