Ex-Deputy In Florida Nabbed In Undercover Sting For Soliciting Teen
A former deputy in Florida is behind bars after allegedly soliciting what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl online. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced the arrest of former Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy, 31-year-old Kenan Ural, who now faces a string of serious charges.
The investigation kicked off when the MCSO Special Victims Unit, operating as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, intercepted disturbing online communications. Detectives allege that Ural, thinking he was speaking with a minor, sent explicit photos of himself to an undercover detective.
Ural was taken into custody in Lee County with the full cooperation of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and assistance from the FBI Miami/Ft. Pierce Resident Agent.
