New leadership takes charge at Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee Counties is proud to welcome new leadership this month: Captains James and Abby Milner. After five years of dedicated service in Fort Walton Beach, they have been appointed to lead the Treasure Coast Corp, along with their three children.

The Milners are excited to spearhead local efforts aimed at transforming lives through social services, emergency disaster response, and spiritual care. “We are eager to begin this new chapter on the Treasure Coast,” stated Captain James Milner. “Our mission is to meet human needs in Christ’s name without discrimination, and we look forward to working alongside of our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners.”

The Salvation Army typically rotates its officers every three to five years to invigorate its ministry and address the dynamic needs of the community. The organization is committed to serving the communities of Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee Counties through its service centers. They provide essential food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance to those in need. Additionally, they operate Compassion House, a transitional shelter for homeless women and their children…
