Port St. Lucie man arrested for threatening county commissioners

PORT ST. LUCIE — A Port St. Lucie man is in custody after authorities say he sent a series of increasingly threatening emails to members of the St. Lucie County Commission.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) arrested 49-year-old Anthony Pizzarelli on Friday, charging him with sending written threats to kill or injure. According to investigators, Pizzarelli’s emails became more aggressive over time, including disturbing language such as “murder charges where applicable” and self-described “ruthless” intent…
