A fatal multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 in Brevard County occurred yesterday, claiming the life of one individual and seriously injuring another. The incident took place at around 8:45 a.m. near Mims, as per a preliminary report from the Florida Highway Patrol obtained by Orlando-News. The crash involved a 2020 Toyota Tundra, a 2020 Freightliner semi-truck, and a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It resulted in the temporary blockage of all southbound lanes at mile marker 230, causing significant delays for motorists traveling in the area.
According to a ClickOrlando report, the Toyota Tundra veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons and struck the rear of the parked Freightliner semi-truck. This caused the pickup to then collide with the Mercedes sedan, before going on to hit the median guardrail.
