Fort Pierce Drug Bust, Two Suspected Traffickers Arrested, Fentanyl and Meth Seized at Local Hotel

Following a coordinated operation by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division and SWAT team, two Fort Pierce residents were arrested in a narcotics bust. The raid took place at a Quality Inn on Reynolds Drive where detectives uncovered a mix of illegal drugs, CBS12 reports.

Tommy Mitchell Jr., 42, and Charles Warren, 39, were apprehended on charges relating to drug trafficking and possession. Evidence collected from the scene included approximately 14 grams of fentanyl, 12.8 grams of methamphetamine, and 4.5 grams of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. A fact often overlooked, one package of Narcan – a lifesaving opioid overdose reversal drug – was also found, according to WPBF.

St. Lucie County Sheriff, Richard Del Toro, underscored the significance of this operation. “This operation is yet another example of our commitment to getting deadly drugs off our streets and holding drug traffickers accountable,” Del Toro heralded in statements obtained by both CBS12 and WPBF. “We will continue to pursue those who threaten the safety of our community with zero tolerance.”…
