Pit Bull, Profanity, and Glass to the Face: Indiantown woman’s rampage ends in jail

INDIANTOWN, Fla. (CBS12) — A drunken rampage, a flying glass, a biting pit bull, and one Indiantown woman now sits behind bars with no bond.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said a 63-year-old woman is behind bars with no bond after a violent, alcohol-fueled outburst that left an elderly man injured, a deputy hospitalized, and a pit bull quarantined.

MCSO said Laurel Stephens — of Indiantown — allegedly began her rampage by striking a man over 65 with a glass object, causing visible injuries. When Martin County deputies arrived at the scene, they were met with profanity, aggression, and what the sheriff’s office described as “belligerence, aggression, and profanity” — and that was before Stephens allegedly weaponized her dog…
