SLCSO, K-9 unit, and U.S. Marshals team up for targeted drug bust

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Fort Pierce man accused of selling cocaine was busted in Lakewood Park after a multi-agency takedown.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) said on August 14, its Special Investigations Division executed a targeted arrest operation in the Lakewood Park area, resulting in the apprehension of a Fort Pierce man wanted on multiple drug counts.

The sheriff’s office said with help from the School Resource Deputy K-9 Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force. It stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation that uncovered evidence leading to arrest warrants for 52-year-old John McPhee. He was taken into custody and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail for:

  • 2 counts of Sale and Delivery of Cocaine
  • 2 counts of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device

The sheriff’s office said he is being held on a $130,000 bond…
