FORT PIERCE — The waters of Causeway Cove Marina came alive Thursday morning, Aug. 7, as cheers, laughter, and splashes of creativity powered The Great American Raft Race.
Crowds lined the marina to watch teams of all ages — from kids to local law enforcement officers — climb aboard their hand-built vessels and paddle furiously toward bragging rights. What the rafts lacked in polish, they made up for in imagination, grit, and plenty of heart.
