Teen Trio Charged In Florida Neighborhood Crime Spree

Deputies nab three teens suspected of a series of car burglaries and thefts across multiple neighborhoods.

A crime spree that left residents on edge has come to an end with the arrest of three teenagers. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has charged Verley Scarlett, 17, Joseph Vigliotti, 18, and Anthony Paul, 16, in connection with a string of car burglaries and thefts that hit the Treasure Coast communities of Cinnamon Tree, Portofino, and Avila.

Investigators believe the group attempted to enter between 50 and 200 vehicles by trying door handles in various parking lots.

Although most of those attempts didn’t result in charges, detectives determined the teens were responsible for a number of confirmed burglaries in both Martin and St. Lucie Counties…
