ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — We’re seeing more and more cities across our area designate quiet zones for train crossings, removing the requirements to sound routine train horns.
In July, officials in Palm Beach Gardens designated a four-mile stretch in city limits as a quirt zone. Last month, city officials in Jupiter did the same for six of its crossings.
Now, areas on the Treasure Coast are mandating these quiet zones…
