A Florida man’s plan to abandon his senior dog on the side of a road has been cut short, thanks to the swift response of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Sean Anthony Miller, 28, now faces felony charges after being identified as the individual who callously left an 11-year-old Shiba Inu named Coco to fend for herself.

The story began when Coco, a senior dog, was discovered on the side of a desolate road in Indiantown. Her picture, showing a sweet-faced Shiba Inu, quickly spread, a symbol of hope for a second chance at life.
