GIFFORD, Fla. (CBS12) — Twenty-six years have passed since Stephanie Jackson was found shot to death in her home on 46th Place, and the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is once again asking the public to help solve the cold case that continues to haunt the community.
On September 3, 1999, deputies responded to a shooting at 4155 46th Place in Gifford. The sheriff’s office said Jackson, then 31, was discovered seated in a chair, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite decades of investigation, no arrests have been made.
Now, on the 26th anniversary of her death, the IRCSO is renewing its call for tips that could finally bring closure to Jackson’s family. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest…
