Stuart mom to host benefit to help with son’s brain surgery after business is torched

STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A Stuart mother is picking up the pieces after her only source of income, her dog grooming business, was destroyed in a fire. Investigators say it was set ablaze by someone she loved and now the victim is now trying to move forward and turning to the community for help.

For All Paws Grooming and Pet Care owner Lindsay Bolander her grooming trailer was more than just a business for this mom it was a lifeline and the only way she was able to afford constant travel to Orlando for her son’s life-changing brain surgery.

Her 6-year-old son Theo was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a serious neurological condition where part of the cerebellum descends into the spinal canal. The condition has required him to undergo a rare cranial reconstruction surgery and be in out of an Orlando hospital for the last few months…
