Taylor waives arraignment, pleads not guilty to child exploitation

FORT PIERCE – Attorneys for former Fort Pierce City Commissioner James Taylor filed paperwork Aug. 29, waiving Taylor’s arraignment, entering a not guilty plea and requesting a jury trial on 24 felony counts of online exploitation of an Illinois minor.

Court records show Taylor’s next court date is Oct. 1 when defense attorneys will meet with prosecutors before St. Lucie County Circuit Judge Lawrence Mirman to discuss the status of the case leading up to a yet-undetermined trial date.

Fort Pierce attorneys Steve Ziskinder and Gabrielle Radcliffe are representing Taylor, according to court records…
