New floors will launch the hospital’s Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and add dozens of new beds while a new parking garage improves access with 661 spaces
Sept. 5, 2025 – HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is just three months away from welcoming the first births in its new purpose-built Labor and Delivery expansion in the North Tower of its campus that has served the St. Lucie and Martin County communities with distinction for more than four decades.
This two-story investment strengthens the hospital’s ability to care for at-risk mothers and babies with the area’s newest NICU. It will open in December as Level II, offering advanced monitoring and support for premature babies.

The new Women’s Care area will also feature eight deluxe Labor and Delivery rooms, two OB operating rooms and three OB emergency rooms, providing a spectrum of advanced care from admission to recovery and discharge.
