Port St. Lucie woman charged with threatening fiber-optic worker

PORT ST. LUCIE – A Port St. Lucie woman was jailed on Sept. 5 on charges that she threatened to kill a cable company employee several times.

According to an arrest affidavit, Charmaine Fay Borger, 65, of the 1700 block of SW Ardmore Street, Port St. Lucie, approached the employee who was installing a concrete fiber-optic box on an easement and demanded that the employee give her a permit on Sept. 5 at about 9:50 a.m.

In a video, with faces of the victim blotted out, provided by Port St. Lucie police, the employee is shown explaining to police that he could not give her a physical copy but could show her the permit. However, the employee said Borger became angrier and started to threaten to kill him, according to the video…
