FORT PIERCE – Fort Pierce senior city planner Vennis Gilmore Friday acknowledged his role in a 2020 lease award to his non-profit that also has led to the arrest of former city manager Nicholas Mimms.
The Florida Commission on Ethics (FCOE) issued a public censure/reprimand of Gilmore and ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine, following his demotion from assistant planning director and a January pay cut imposed by the city.
