Stuart resident Jason Montero has long been a regular on the local music scene, playing at all the hot venues both solo and with his various bands—Bad Habits, Sour Mash, and the Jason Montero Trio. His latest album, Inside Out, was released last year. We sat down for a quick chat with the Best Of 2025 winner.

Strangest song request? I received a napkin once asking me to play “Amie” [by Pure Prairie League] for someone’s daughter who had been kidnapped and returned. That was pretty wild.
