A news reporter in Florida helped a Kindergarten teacher connect with a former student, from 24 years ago. Tammy Thurman wanted to give Jevon Castrillo a letter that his mother had written to her about him in March of 2001. Six months later, she died in the September 11th attacks, she was a flight attendant on Flight 93.
Thurman had kept the letter as she moved to four schools since then. There is actually a statue of his mom, CeCe Ross Lyles, in Fort Pierce’s Liberty Garden and they have a ceremony honoring her every year. Castrillo says he’ll continue to make his mom proud as the new dad of a 3-month old!…
