An Indiana man’s attempt to enjoy a meal on the house—or, more accurately, on the restaurant’s tab—in Stuart, Florida, has ended with more than just a bill. It ended with him back in police custody as a felony fugitive.
The situation unfolded on October 4th, 2025, when Stuart Police were called to a local restaurant. The complaint? A customer, who identified himself to staff only as “Kali,” had racked up a $93.06 tab and then skipped out.
Witnesses described the man as wearing orange swim trunks, a long-sleeved shirt, and a white baseball cap. “Kali” had promised to return and settle his bill. He didn’t.
