A 5-month-old infant was hospitalized with a fractured skull and other serious injuries last week after being allegedly struck by an adult woman during a domestic dispute in Fort Pierce, Florida.
The incident unfolded on Thursday, October 16, around 10:56 a.m. when a detective from the Fort Pierce Police Department (FPPD) alerted the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLSCO) that the baby had been taken to a local hospital with “serious injuries,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Medical examinations revealed the infant had sustained a fractured skull and bruising to an arm and a leg.
