St. Lucie Landlord and Accomplice Arrested for Battery and Burglary, Tenant Assaulted at Gunpoint

In a disturbing incident out of St. Lucie County, a landlord and her accomplice have been arrested on charges of battery and burglary. According to WPBF, around 11 p.m. last Saturday, deputies were called to the 5200 block of Seagrape Drive where a tenant reported being attacked by his landlord. The victim recounted the harrowing moment when his landlord, identified as Kristi Stewart, barged into his room and commenced to beat him.

Escalating the situation, Stewart’s companion, Geoffery Moore, was accusatory of brandishing a firearm throughout the assault. Moore reportedly threatened to shoot the tenant if he attempted any defense. “During this time, the landlord’s companion stood nearby holding a gun and threatening to shoot the tenant if they tried to defend themselves,” the victim explained to authorities, as detailed by WPBF.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office swiftly acted, arresting both Stewart and Moore following the incident.
