Local Library Branches to Host Free Book Discussions and Events for Residents in November

The St. Lucie County Library System will hold several book discussion groups in November 2025. Events will take place at library branches in Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce. Participants can discuss a range of books and attend a movie screening based on a graphic novel.

The schedule begins on November 4 at the Morningside Branch with a discussion of Fannie Flagg’s “Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven.” On November 5, the Lewis Branch will discuss “Trust” by Hernan Diaz. The Kilmer Branch in Fort Pierce will host a discussion of Lisa Wingate’s “Shelterwood” on November 6.

On November 13, the Lakewood Park Branch will discuss “James” by Percival Everett. The Kilmer Branch will hold a “Page to Screen” event on November 14, showing the 2024 film “Here,” based on Richard McGuire’s graphic novel. Later in November, the Kilmer Branch will discuss Edwidge Danticat’s “Claire of the Sea Light,” and the Morningside Branch will feature Jeffery Deaver’s “The Never Game.”…
