Nation’s First Search-And-Rescue Otter, ‘Splash’, Meets Florida Sheriff For Demonstration

The nation’s first search and recovery otter, named Splash, was introduced to authorities in Florida this week.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Splash and his owner/trainer Michael Hadsell, from Florida-based nonprofit Peace River K9 Search and Rescue, visited this week to show off his skills, which they hope will come in handy when people get lost in bodies of water.
