Its opening followed years of delays tied to environmental and traffic disputes.
Construction and Opening
After a state panel reversed an earlier rejection in 2023, construction moved quickly and wrapped by early 2025. When doors opened in April, the store drew heavy crowds and thousands of new memberships. The Stuart warehouse joined a wave of new Florida openings that have extended Costco’s reach across the state, from Naples to Jacksonville.
