On most afternoons in Jupiter Farms, the sound of running shoes hitting the packed dirt can be heard echoing down winding trails. Visual junior twins Amelie and Maximus, and their younger sister, visual sophomore Maria Cannon, log miles together on those paths, weaving past pine trees and driveways as part of their cross-country training. Spending both free and practice time preparing together for the sport, the siblings maintain shared and personal journeys.

Maximus was the first of the Cannon siblings to join cross-country and track and field in his freshman year due to his habit of running long distances in his free time.
“I was naturally good (at running),” Maximus said. “I had fun improving myself through challenges and racing at meets (upon joining).”
His sisters, Amelie and Maria, soon followed suit, with Amelie agreeing to try out for both teams with Maximus the same year. Maria joined both the cross-country and track and field teams the following year…
