Grenade found in donation at Florida Goodwill; bomb squad responds

FLORIDA — A routine afternoon at the Goodwill store in Sabal Palm Plaza was disrupted Friday when a store clerk discovered a grenade among recently donated items.

The Fort Pierce Police Department responded to the store around 12:50 p.m. after employees reported the suspicious object. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the item was indeed a grenade.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Unit was called to the scene and removed the device after determining it was real. No injuries were reported…
