MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Drone video captured the moment authorities located a missing woman with autism on Tuesday.
In a dramatic nighttime rescue, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Drone Unit located 55-year-old Michela Delrosa — an autistic, non-verbal woman — deep in dense brush near Sea Turtle Beach after she vanished Tuesday morning.
Using advanced thermal imaging, MCSO said drone pilot Corporal Mike Fenton guided deputies through pitch-black terrain to reach Delrosa, who was disoriented but alive.
