FORT PIERCE — The Winn-Dixie grocery store at 4870 N. Kings Highway in the Indiro Crossing shopping center will permanently close in late February to be converted into an ALDI, parent company Southeastern Grocers confirmed Tuesday.
The adjacent Winn-Dixie Beer, Wine & Spirits store will remain open and is not affected by the conversion.
In a statement attributed to Senior Director of Communications and Community Meredith Hurley, Southeastern Grocers said all associates at the North Kings Highway location have received advance notice and will have the first opportunity to apply for positions at the future ALDI or transfer to another Winn-Dixie store…
